Elytra Flight Detector is a client-side Fabric mod that shows an on-screen indicator while the player is actually gliding with an Elytra.
What it does
The mod reads the game's real Elytra flight state, so the HUD indicator appears only while the player is flying with an Elytra worn, and it updates the moment flight starts or stops. The display is a configurable part of the HUD, and an optional sound can play when the state changes.
The mod is open source under the MIT License and works in multiplayer because only the client runs it. It requires Fabric API and Mod Menu, and files are published for Fabric across 11 release versions, 1.21.4 – 26.1.2, with 2.0.0 for 26.1.2 as the latest file.
