EdgeRunner
by HeyBlack233
EdgeRunner stops players from being hurt by magma blocks when they stand on the edge of one, a behavior the game itself does not handle as intended.
What it does
The mod changes how a player standing on the edge of a magma block is treated, so the block's damage no longer applies in that position. The change addresses the game bug tracked as MC-1133, where entities ignore a block's effect. The mod works on Fabric for 1.20 and 1.20.1, and the 1.0.0 build for 1.20.1 is the latest file. Either side can run it, and neither needs it, so installing it on a server or a client alone is enough to apply the fix.
Key features
Magma edge fix
Standing on the edge of a magma block no longer causes damage, which corrects the bug tracked as MC-1133.
Server-side handling
When installed on a server, the fix is applied to the player's damage calculation, so clients need no extra work.
Targeted scope
Only the magma block edge case is changed, leaving the rest of the block's behavior as vanilla.

What the author says
This mod "unfixes" MC-1133, if you don't know what that is, basically this mod makes entities ignore the block's effect when standing on the edge of that block. On a dedicated server, when installed client side only, the mod only works for your player, and magma block can still hurt you since it is handled server side.
