Easier Wood Creations changes the crafting recipes for vanilla wood, so fewer steps produce chests, slabs and planks from logs.

What it does

The mod reworks vanilla wood recipes to make them more convenient. One example turns 8 oak logs into a chest through a shaped furnace recipe, and another turns 3 logs into 24 slabs through a normal slab recipe. Only vanilla logs are supported. Client and server both need the mod, and it is published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge across 10 release versions, 1.12.2 – 26.1.2, under the Apache License 2.0, which is not open source.

Key features

  1. Simpler chest crafting

    A shaped furnace recipe makes 4 chests from a smaller set of logs than the vanilla route needs.

  2. More slabs per log

    A normal slab recipe turns 3 logs into 24 slabs, so building with wood needs fewer crafting steps.

  3. Vanilla logs only

    The recipe changes cover vanilla wood logs, and modded log types are not part of the changes.
