dSchema
by drag0n1zed
dSchema is a Forge utility for building schematics, with tiered permissions that decide which players can use each feature.
What it does
Players and server owners use dSchema to plan figure shapes and structures before placing them. Permissions are organized in tiers, and an individual player can receive overrides that differ from the tier they belong to. Tier membership is changed with an in-game command, so no config edit is needed once the server is running.
Both the server and every player need dSchema, since the permission checks and the planning tools run on each side. The mod is published for Forge only, with a single build for 1.20.1, released 2025-08-04 under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only. The source code is public, so server owners can read how the tiers are checked.
Key features
Plan figure shapes
Figure shapes can be laid out ahead of construction, so a build can be sketched before any blocks are placed.
Tier-based permissions
Access to schematic features is grouped into tiers that a server owner assigns to players.
Player-specific overrides
A single player can be given permissions that differ from the tier they are otherwise placed in.
Tier management command
An in-game command lets an operator move players between tiers while the server is running.
Compatibility
Latest build for each game version and loader.
Only full game releases are shown. This mod publishes no snapshot builds.
Use cases
Shared build servers
Server owners who limit building features to trusted players can assign them to tiers and adjust exceptions per player.
Schematic planning
Builders who plan figure shapes before construction can work through the layout with the planning tools.
Who it’s for: Server owners who want to control schematic features by player rank, and builders who plan figure shapes on a Forge 1.20.1 world or server.
How it compares
