Double Levels

by zCore

Double Levels gives the player's base attributes an upgrade track, with XP spent to raise each parameter through five levels.

FabricForgeNeoForgeQuiltServer required, client optionalCreative Commons Attribution Share Alike 4.01.21.10 – 26.3

What it does

Double Levels lets XP raise a set of character attributes. Four parameters can be leveled, each with five levels, so progression is spread across several stats rather than one bar. Armor, knockback resistance, speed-related stats, attack stats, step height and mining speed are among the attributes it covers. The mod also includes a Russian description in its listing.

Only the server has to run the mod; players may join without it. Double Levels is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt across 7 release versions, 1.21.10 – 26.3, and is released under the Creative Commons Attribution Share Alike 4.0 license. The code is not open source. Latest files, dated 2026-07-31, target 26.3 on every loader.

Key features

  1. Base armor leveling

Base armor can be raised through five levels with experience points.

  2. Movement and sneaking speed

Movement speed and sneaking speed are two of the four leveled parameters.

  3. Combat attributes

Attack damage, attack speed and knockback resistance can each be leveled separately.

  4. Mining and step height

Block break speed and step height round out the set of attributes that can be upgraded.

Use cases

Survival progression

Players who want XP to matter beyond enchanting can spread it across several attributes in a survival world.

Server-side balance

Server owners can run the mod on their own server while players join with a vanilla client.

Who it’s for: Server owners who want XP-based stat growth, and survival players who prefer character attributes to grow over time.

How it compares

Full comparison

Physical Stats is also server-side and works with the same four loaders for 1.21 – 26.2, but it is released under the MIT License and is not open source. StatTweaks, which is open source under the MIT License, needs both client and server and covers only 1.21.1 – 1.21.9. Step covers the same loaders for 1.19.3 – 26.1.2 with a client and server environment, under All rights reserved.
