Disable Too Expensive
by lullaby
Disable Too Expensive removes the Too Expensive message that anvils show when an enchanting or repair cost grows too high.
What it does
Anvils in vanilla Minecraft refuse an action once its cost passes a set level, and the Too Expensive message appears instead. Disable Too Expensive removes that limit by changing the item and anvil data, so players can keep combining enchantments and repairs without the cap. Only a server needs the mod; players can join without installing it, and the client side is optional. Files cover Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt for 1.21 – 26.3, and the project also ships as a data pack.
Key features
No Too Expensive cap
Anvil combinations and repairs no longer stop at the level where the Too Expensive message would normally appear.
Data pack option
The same change is available as a simple data pack for servers that do not want to install a mod.
Open source code
The source code is public under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 or later, so server owners can read exactly what changes.
