Diamond Value
Diamond Value changes how diamond items progress on NeoForge, so that crafting and upgrading diamond equipment takes real effort again.
What it does
Diamond Value is a NeoForge mod that brings back the value of diamonds in progression. Loot tables and recipes are adjusted so that upgrading diamond equipment is an accomplishment again, and a blue gem called the Diamond Splinter can be assembled into new items. Only the server and players who join it need the mod to be installed on both sides. Files cover 1.21.1 – 1.21.8, with 1.0 for 1.21.8 as the latest release, and the mod is released under All rights reserved.

Many loot tables and recipes are changed so diamonds are harder to come by and diamond gear costs more to make.
Diamond Splinters
Players assemble a blue gem called the Diamond Splinter, which takes the place of whole diamonds in some crafts.

Diamond pickaxes and enchanting become important progression milestones instead of routine steps.
