DC Render API
by Yifei061004
DC Render API is a library for drawing particle effects, display entities and barrages on Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, for 1.20.1 and 1.21.1 builds.
What it does
The library provides a controllable particle system whose instances carry a stable id and an explicit lifecycle flag, so code can track and retire each one. Animation helpers cover circle and spiral orbits, wave motion, random walks, easing functions and timeline keyframes. Particle groups are created, ticked and destroyed in batches through server and client group managers.
Two dedicated network packets keep the particle view consistent between the server and each connected client. Emitters control spawn rate and velocity, and style objects set size, alpha, RGB colour and lifetime. A lightweight wrapper around Minecraft display entities and a barrage manager for circular and other patterns round out the toolkit.
Fabric Language Kotlin is required on Fabric, and Kotlin for Forge is required on Forge. Servers that run it need every player to install it too. Files target 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, with the latest builds published under the MIT License as open source.
Key features
Controllable particles
Particle instances keep a stable id and an explicit dead flag, so they can be tracked and removed deterministically.
Motion and easing
Circle, spiral, wave and random-walk motion are available, along with easing curves and keyframe timelines.
Synced particle groups
Batched group creation, ticking and destruction run through server and client managers, with two dedicated packets.
Emitters, styles and barrages
Emitters set spawn rate and velocity, styles define size, alpha, colour and lifetime, and barrages build circular patterns.
Compatibility

Use cases
Visual effects in Dragon Curse Chronicles
The library is the rendering base for the exclusive effects of Dragon Curse Chronicles, including talisman laser and fireball trails.
Who it’s for: Mod developers who need particle choreography, synced across server and clients, without writing the networking and lifecycle code themselves.
How it compares
CooParticlesAPI is a Fabric and NeoForge particle library for 1.21.1 under All rights reserved, and it is not open source. Lumiera supports Fabric, Forge and NeoForge for 1.20.1 – 26.1.2 with a custom license, and it is not open source; it works on either side, and neither needs it.
