CyanLib is a Fabric library for small utilities, a config system with its own screen, and custom translations, meant to be used alongside other mods.
What it does
Other mods can build on CyanLib to reuse its smaller utilities instead of writing their own. Its config system provides a screen where settings can be changed in game, and it also supports custom translations. Several of its smaller functions are grouped under the same library, so a mod that needs one of them does not have to bundle the code itself.
Either side can run CyanLib, and neither the client nor the server needs it. Installation requires Fabric API and Fabric Language Kotlin, and Mod Menu is optional. Files are published for Fabric only, across 34 release versions 1.17 – 26.3, and the latest Fabric file is 2.1.0-beta.5+26.3.x for 26.3, released on the beta channel on 2026-09-23.
CyanLib is open source under the GNU General Public License v2.0 only, and its source code and issue tracker are public. It was first published on 2022-03-05 and last updated on 2026-09-23. Two other mods, CyanSetHome and Cyan, require it, so it is part of their dependency chain.
