Culler
by iMeeTake
With Culler, distant entities and block entities stop being processed while they are out of view, which lowers the work the client does each frame.
What it does
Culler is a Fabric client mod that skips distant entities and block entities that cannot be seen, so the client spends less time on them. Its culling algorithm is built to add little overhead of its own. Distance limits can be set separately for each object category, and display entities such as item, block and text displays are covered as well.
Culler requires TLib and oωo (owo-lib) to be installed alongside it. It works with full shader render mods. The mod is open source under the MIT License and is published for Fabric across eight release versions, 1.21.1 – 1.21.10, with 1.2.0-1.21.9 for 1.21.10 as the latest file. Only the client needs it, so servers and players who join them do not have to install anything.
Key features
Distance culling
Entities and block entities beyond a set distance are not drawn or ticked by the client while they remain out of range.
Per-category distances
Each object category has its own distance setting, so one kind of object can be culled earlier than another.
Display entity support
Item, block and text displays are included in the culling, so they are skipped like other distant objects.

Use cases
Dense builds
Players with large bases, farms or redstone builds that hold many block entities can cut the cost of rendering parts of the world they are not looking at.
Shaderpack play
Players who run a shaderpack can keep culling active while the shader handles lighting and effects.
Who it’s for: Players on the client who want to reduce per-frame work from distant entities and block entities, and who already run Fabric with TLib and oωo installed.
How it compares
Better Render Distance is client-side only and also targets Fabric for 1.21 – 26.3, but its license is All rights reserved, so it is not open source, while Culler is open source under the MIT License. Particle Culling is also client-side only on Fabric for 1.21 – 26.3 under the MIT License, and it culls particles instead of entities and block entities. Sodium Leaf Culling is open source under the MIT License and runs on Fabric and NeoForge, but it targets only 1.21.1, while Culler covers 1.21.1 – 1.21.10.
