[CS] Foundation
by CoreEmperor
With [CS] Foundation installed, players can smelt and craft materials such as bauxite aluminium, rose gold and black diamond, and make gunpowder from potassium and sulfur.
What it does
The mod is a library-style core for the [CS] series. It adds ores, minerals and ingots, including aluminium made from bauxite, rose gold and black diamond, and a recipe that produces gunpowder from potassium and sulfur. The author notes that it is built to work with Forge tags, so other mods can reference its materials through common tag names.
Running the mod requires the Curios API, and it also depends on Geckolib for its models. Client and server both need the mod, so every player on a server installs it along with the two dependencies. Files are published for Forge and NeoForge, and the release versions cover 1.19.2 – 1.21.1, with 1.4.6.46 for 1.20.1 as the latest Forge build and 4.4.6-1.20.1 for 1.20.1 as the latest NeoForge build. The code is not open source, and the mod is released under All rights reserved.
The author states that the material set has known gaps: steel ingots from this mod may not be interchangeable with those from another mod, and some mishaps are expected. Installation on a live world should be tested first.
Key features
Bauxite aluminium
Aluminium is produced from bauxite, adding a metal source that other [CS] mods can use.
Gunpowder from potassium and sulfur
Gunpowder can be crafted from potassium and sulfur, offering an alternative to the vanilla recipe.
Rose gold and black diamond
Rose gold and black diamond are added as materials for tools, equipment and decoration.
Forge tag compatibility
Materials are tagged to follow Forge conventions, so recipes in other mods can match them.

Use cases
Who it’s for: Players who install [CS] Roleplay Decor, [CS] Augmentations or [CS] SCP Survival Additions need this mod for those mods to run. Server owners running a pack built on these mods should install the Curios API and Geckolib alongside it.
How it compares
Useful Foundation is a separate library, open source under the MIT License, with files for 1.19.2 – 26.1.2 on Forge and NeoForge, and it runs on client and server. More swords and tools adds weapons and tools for 1.20.1 – 1.21.1 on the same loaders and environment, but its code is All rights reserved. Mine Mineral is client-side only, so only players install it, and it targets 1.20.1 – 1.21.4 under All rights reserved.

What the author says
[Mod Requirements] For this mod to function you require Geckolib and Curios Api This means our Library will house every ore/mineral we will use, while attempting to make them as compatible as can be with ForgeTags. Don't you just hate when a mod has a steel ingot you cant use with another?
