Create: Reactive Stress (CRS)

by Peterhun_

Create: Reactive Stress (CRS) changes how Create's stress-driven machines draw power, so their load rises and falls with the work they do.

ForgeNeoForgeServer required, client optionalMIT LicenseOpen source1.20.1 – 1.21.1

What it does

The mod takes the idea of fluctuating electricity use from factory games and applies it to Create machines. Instead of a steady stress draw, the Mechanical Press, Mechanical Mixer, Mechanical Saw in horizontal mode, Millstone and Crushing Wheel each get a multiplier that the author set in the config, and the Mechanical Crafter, Mechanical Drill and Mechanical Arm are also covered. Mechanical machines that already run passively are left as they are, and the multipliers can be tuned to suit a pack.

The mod needs Create to run and is published for Forge and NeoForge, with files for 1.20.1 and 1.21.1. The 1.20.1 builds are targeted at Create v6 and the 1.21.1 builds share that Create version. The server must run the mod, while players may add it without any change to what they see, so the client side is optional. It is released under the MIT License and is open source; the source code is public.

Key features

  1. Scaled stress for presses

The Mechanical Press uses a stress multiplier of 2.5 in place of the default draw.

  2. Scaled stress for grinding and mixing

The Mechanical Mixer and Millstone run at double stress, and the Crushing Wheel at triple.

  3. Configurable multipliers

Every multiplier is set in the config, so server owners can adjust the load on each machine.

  4. Passive machines left alone

Machines that already run passively keep their original stress behaviour.
