Create Deep Seas
by MaxCreateMC
Players who want to build, pilot and survive in physics-based submarines can use Create: Deep Seas, a NeoForge addon for Create and Sable.
What it does
The mod expands the systems of Create together with the Sable physics engine, so submarines and boats built in the game move and float under real physical rules. Its content is split into three parts: Deep Seas covers the pressure system, the oxygen supply and the other parts a submarine needs; High Seas covers boats; and The Abyss is planned as a future biome and dimension with creatures and structures that give submarine building a purpose. All three parts ship inside this one mod, even though they were developed as separate projects.
Installation requires Create, Create Aeronautics, Iris & Oculus Flywheel Compat and Sable, so each of them must be present alongside this mod. Create: Deep Seas runs on client and server, meaning both the server and every player need it. It is built for NeoForge and targets 1.21.1 only, with the latest file 3.3.0 for 1.21.1, released on 2026-10-02. The mod is released under All rights reserved and is not open source, although its source code and issue tracker are public.
Key features
Submarine pressure system
Submarines are affected by a pressure system that the crew must manage while operating below the surface.
Oxygen supply
A submarine carries an oxygen supply that players have to keep up in order to survive a dive.
Boat content
The High Seas part adds boats and related parts that extend the Create Aeronautics builds.
Flywheel rendering support
Optional compatibility lets the flywheel effects render correctly alongside Iris shaders.

Use cases
Building a submarine
Players assemble a submarine with Create mechanisms, then pilot it through the oceans with the physics of Sable.
Surviving a dive
Crews keep the oxygen supply and the pressure system in balance while exploring deep water.
Who it’s for: Players who already use Create and Create Aeronautics and want submarines and boats in their builds, and server owners who host a Create-based modpack on NeoForge 1.21.1.
How it compares
Iris Veil Compat is a client-side only addon, released under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, open source, and published for NeoForge 1.21.1, so it covers only rendering and needs no server install. Abyss is open source under the MIT License, runs on client and server and targets NeoForge 1.21.1, so it is the closest match in environment. Create Aeronautics Paddlewheels is not open source, runs on client and server, and uses the same NeoForge 1.21.1 target.
