Craftable Bells

by StaticLabs

Craftable Bells lets players craft bells from common materials, so a bell no longer has to be found in a village.

What it does

Craftable Bells is a datapack mod that makes bells craftable. Once the datapack is loaded, bells can be made from common materials in a crafting grid, which removes the need to locate one in a village. The change is delivered as a datapack rather than a loader-specific jar, so it works in a world without installing a mod loader on the client.

Installation means placing the zip file in the datapacks folder of the world, then running reload in game or restarting the world to enable it. Only the server needs the datapack; players may leave it out and still join. The mod is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, and as a Data pack, across 38 release versions 1.16 – 26.2, under All rights reserved, so the code is not open source.

Key features

  1. Craftable bells

Bells can be crafted from common materials instead of being found in villages.

  2. Simple crafting recipe

The recipe uses ordinary items, so players can build bells early in a survival world.

  3. Datapack delivery

The change is a plain zip file placed in the world's datapacks folder, with no code to install.

  4. Creative builds

Bells become available for decorating towns, churches and other builds without a village trip.
