With Copper Equipment, players can craft tools, weapons and armor from copper, a metal that sits between stone and iron in the early game.
What it does
Copper Equipment adds copper versions of swords, axes, pickaxes and armor. The items are tuned to be slightly weaker than iron but stronger than stone, with lower durability and higher enchantability. The copper ores that supply the metal are required, so the mod expects them to be present in the world.
The mod works with vanilla copper and is intended for early game survival, filling the gap between stone and iron tools. Forge and NeoForge builds are published, and the mod runs on the client and on the server, so the server and every player need it. Files cover 1.18.2 – 1.21.4 across six release versions, and the license is Creative Commons Attribution Non Commercial No Derivatives 4.0, so the mod is not open source.

Swords and axes made from copper deal more damage than stone versions while staying below iron in durability and power.

Pickaxes made from copper dig at a pace between stone and iron, which suits the early stages of a world.

Helmet, chestplate, leggings and boots offer more protection than leather while remaining weaker than iron.
Enchantable copper gear
Copper items have higher enchantability than iron, so the tools and armor suit enchanting tables earlier in a playthrough.
