CoolGuy42443's Classes
by CoolGuy42443
CoolGuy42443's Classes lets players pick one of seven classes when they join a world or server, each with its own mix of benefits and debuffs.
What it does
Each class gives a different experience. The GOD class, for example, gains three times regular health and a permanent water breathing effect, but it loses three hearts of health and gains permanent slowness and darkness. Other classes trade a permanent night vision or speed and jump boost against drawbacks such as bad omen or mining fatigue, and one begins with a full set of iron tools.
The mod works in singleplayer and multiplayer, so a server owner can offer the classes to every player who joins. It is published for NeoForge only, for 1.21.8, and both the server and every player need it. The author describes it as inspired by the Origins mod, which the author recommends trying as well. The code is not open source; the mod is released under All rights reserved.
Key features
Seven selectable classes
Players choose a class when they join a world or server, and each class carries its own set of effects.
Benefits and drawbacks
Classes pair permanent effects such as night vision, speed or hero of the village with penalties like bad omen or reduced hearts.
Day and night effects
One class gains strength at night and weakness during the day, so the same character plays differently across a day cycle.
Singleplayer and multiplayer
The classes work in both singleplayer worlds and on multiplayer servers.

Use cases
Role-play on a server
A server can give each player a distinct role, so groups of players have different strengths and weaknesses to work with.
Varied survival runs
In a single world, switching between classes changes how the early game and the mining phase feel.
Who it’s for: Players who want different gameplay experiences in survival, and server owners who want to give players a choice of starting roles. Because it runs on NeoForge 1.21.8 only, it suits players on that version.
How it compares
Generic classes is a NeoForge-independent option: it has files for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt for 1.21.11, is released under the MIT License, and is server-required with optional client install. Project MMO: Classes covers 1.20.1 – 1.21.1 on Forge and NeoForge and needs the client and server together, under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license.
