Control Engineering
by malte0811
Control Engineering adds redstone control panels and logic cabinets to Immersive Engineering, for players who want signal handling in the Immersive Engineering style.
What it does
Control panels bring several redstone signals into one compact place, where a player can monitor and drive them with components such as buttons, variacs, panel meters and more. A panel design is stored on a Punched Tape made in the Control Panel CNC, and an existing design can be copied or modified. A tape can also be written out by hand with the Keypunch, which offers a visual interface for building a panel layout.
Logic cabinets work as independent redstone logic that takes its look from Immersive Engineering. Unlike logic units, they add support for analog signals, and they need power to keep running. The mod is published for Forge only, for 1.18.2 and 1.19.2, with 0.2.0 for 1.19.2 as the latest beta file. Immersive Engineering is required, and the mod is open source under the MIT License.

Use cases
Who it’s for: Players who already use Immersive Engineering and want redstone control that matches its visual style. Server owners need it on the server as well as on every player's client, since the environment is client and server.
How it compares
Harmonious Engineering Addons is a Forge mod for 1.18.2 under the MIT License, open source, with the same client and server environment. Underground City Engineering is also Forge and open source, but targets 1.12.2 and is released under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only. More Immersive Wires covers Forge and NeoForge for 1.18.2 – 1.21.1 under the MIT License, so it reaches a wider range of loaders and versions than this mod.
