Command Macro Key
by HuNao
Command Macro Key binds keyboard shortcuts to chat commands or sequences of commands, so a player can run a routine command with one press.
What it does
A macro is defined in a JSON file and tied to a key. Each macro has a command or several commands, sent to the chat field as if typed. Commands can be separated with a newline character to run several in order, which lets a single key replay a routine such as setting a gamemode and then a time of day. Three macro types cover the common cases: a single command that runs once, a delayed command that waits a set number of ticks before running, and a repeating command that runs at a chosen interval for a set count.
Placeholders insert live values into a command when the key is pressed. The supported placeholders include the player name, position coordinates, health, food, experience and level, dimension, biome, facing direction, rotation angles and UUID. The macro reload command reapplies the macro file without restarting the game. Macros are stored in the client config, and a separate macros-server.json5 file holds the options that the server enforces. Installation needs Forge for 1.20.1, with files released under the MIT License as open source.
Key features
Keybound macros
Each macro is assigned a primary key and an optional modifier key, so one press runs a stored command.
Multi-command sequences
Newline separators let a single macro run several commands one after another.
Delayed and repeating macros
Macros can wait a set number of ticks before running, or repeat a command at a set interval for a set number of times.
Placeholder values
Placeholders such as the player name, position, health and biome are replaced with current values when the macro runs.
Reload without restart
The macro reload command reads the macro file again, so changes apply during play.
