ComBit is a Fabric mod that lets server owners and players tweak combat mechanics, from invincibility frames to weapon damage and entity health.

What it does

ComBit gives server owners a set of configurable tweaks for combat, covering invincibility frames, weapon attack cooldowns, weapon damage, and the health of entities. Each tweak stays off until someone turns it on, so a world plays as vanilla by default. A preset in the config screen can recreate the older combat feel of the game for anyone who wants it. The mod requires LibJF, and Mod Menu is optional for opening its config screen.

Questions

Does ComBit need LibJF?

Yes. LibJF is a required dependency and must be installed alongside ComBit on Fabric.

Does ComBit have to be installed on the client?

No. Servers must run it, while players may leave it out, so the server carries the mod and clients can join without it.

Can the older combat style be turned on without editing files?

Yes. The config screen includes a preset that loads the older combat settings.

ComBit allows you to disable I-Frames, remove cool-downs from weapons and modify the health of entities as well as the attack damage of weapons. Every tweak is optional and disabled by default. If you want 1.8-like combat, load the "Minecraft 1.8.9" preset in the config screen
