Colored Obsidian Plus adds 16 dye colors of obsidian, crying obsidian and reinforced deepslate, with slabs, stairs, panes and other shapes for each color.
What it does
Each of the 16 colors is available as a block of colored obsidian, colored crying obsidian and colored reinforced deepslate. Every color can be crafted in several shapes, including full blocks, slabs, stairs, panes, buttons, trapdoors, doors, fences and fence gates, so a build can mix several block types in one color. The obsidian block is dyed with a finished color, while the recipes that use water and lava buckets and diamonds cover the other variants.
The mod is aimed at survival builders and at players who build custom nether portal frames. A datapack from Vanilla Tweaks is needed to use the Colored Obsidian Plus pieces as portal frames, and the frame must be at least 3 by 2 blocks. Regular obsidian can sit beside the colored pieces, but colored blocks count only when they are of the obsidian, reinforced or reinforced pane kinds. The code is under CC0 1.0 Universal, so the project is open source, and public links exist for the source code. Builds are published for Fabric and NeoForge for 26.1.2 and 1.21.1.
