Cobblemon Type Table

by Javieljefe

Cobblemon Type Table adds a Pokémon type effectiveness chart that players open by right-clicking an item in hand, for Forge and NeoForge on 1.20.1 and 1.21.1.

What it does

The chart shows how Pokémon types match up against each other, with eight colors used to distinguish the types. Players open it from the item in hand, and the mod works alongside Cobblemon and Pixelmon without changing their gameplay. Because the mod is entirely client-side, a server running vanilla or a modded setup needs nothing installed, and only the player's own game loads it.

The icon border setting can be switched on or off during play through the mod options screen, and the same choice can also be made by editing the cobblemontypechart-common.toml file. Changing settings in-game requires Mod Menu. If the chart looks blurry while shaders are active with Iris, OptiFine or similar mods, the fix is to set Menu Background Blur to OFF in the Video Settings screen. Files cover 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, with 1.0.4 as the latest build for each.

Key features

  1. Type effectiveness chart

A chart lists how each Pokémon type fares against the others, opened from an item held in hand.

  2. Eight type colors

Each type is drawn in one of eight colors, so the chart is easier to scan at a glance.

  3. Icon border option

Type icons can be shown with or without borders, switched in-game or set in the config file.

  4. Shader blur fix

Turning off Menu Background Blur in Video Settings clears the blurry chart that appears under Iris or OptiFine shaders.

Questions

Which loaders does Cobblemon Type Table support?

The mod is published for Forge and NeoForge. Forge files cover 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, and NeoForge files cover 1.20.1 and 1.21.1 as well, with 1.0.4 as the latest build for each.

Does the server need Cobblemon Type Table installed?

No. It is installed on the player's side alone, so servers need nothing.

Why does the type chart look blurry?

Shaders from Iris, OptiFine or similar mods can blur it. Setting Menu Background Blur to OFF in Video Settings fixes the problem without removing shaders.
