Cobblemon Linkie

by tmetcalfe89

Cobblemon Linkie lets a Cobblemon player post a chat message that shows the Pokémon in their party to everyone on a server.

FabricNeoForgeServer-side onlyMIT LicenseOpen source1.21.1

What it does

The mod adds a chat command that sends a message together with a selected party slot, so other players can see that Pokémon in the chat. The text it sends can be changed through configuration, and the mod exposes several options for how the link is shown and formatted.

Cobblemon Linkie runs on the server only, so players join without installing anything. It needs Cobblemon and Cobblemon Tim Core to work, and it is published for Fabric and NeoForge for 1.21.1. The code is open source under the MIT License, and the project has public links to its source, issue tracker and wiki. The first files were released on 2026-03-13, and the latest builds for both loaders are dated 2026-09-29.

Key features

  1. Party slot links in chat

A player can send a chat message with a chosen party slot, and the Pokémon in that slot appears as a link for other players.

  2. Configurable output

Server owners can adjust the settings that control how linked messages are sent and displayed in chat.

  3. Cobblemon integration

The links read the party data from Cobblemon, so the chat shows the Pokémon the sender actually has.

  4. Public source and wiki

The author publishes the source code, an issue tracker and a wiki for the mod.

Use cases

Showing off a team

Players on a community server can share a strong Pokémon from their party without typing its details by hand.

Trading and help requests

A player asking for a trade or advice can link the Pokémon in question so others see its stats and form.

Who it’s for: Server owners running Cobblemon who want players to talk about their teams in chat. Players need no installation, since the mod is server-side only.

How it compares

Full comparison

Chunni Discord chat link is server-side only, open source under the CC0 1.0 Universal license and published for Fabric for 1.21.1, so it bridges chat to Discord rather than linking Pokémon. Coord Chat is client-side only, open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only and published for Fabric for 1.21.10, so it runs on a player's client alone.

What the author says

…you could link your Pokemon in the chat? Give yourself any Pokémon in your first slot. Need one? Run /pokegive timburr for a quick one. Then send a chat message saying Hey, check out my [team1]. and watch the message replace [team1] with [Timburr] with a hover that show a bunch of its info.
