Cobblemon Affinity Enchantments

by miamorjustin

Cobblemon Affinity Enchantments adds armor enchantments, each tied to one Pokémon type, that give percentage-based bonuses in the way food buffs do.

FabricClient and serverMIT License1.21.1 – 1.21.11

What it does

Every Affinity enchantment is bound to one Pokémon type and grows the chance of meeting that type in the wild by a set percentage.

The mod targets players who hunt specific Pokémon and collectors who work through a full type set, since the enchantments fit those playstyles. The bonus percentages are not fixed and will be adjusted over time as the balance is evaluated. The mod is in an early testing phase, and its author uses player feedback to guide balance changes and possible future expansions.

The mod runs on Fabric for Minecraft 1.21.1 – 1.21.11, with files for all 11 release versions. It needs both the server and every player to run it, and it is released under the MIT License, which is not open source.

Key features

  1. Type-based Affinity enchantments

Each enchantment is linked to one Pokémon type and raises the odds of meeting Pokémon of that type.

  2. Percentage bonuses

Every Affinity grants a percentage bonus, so its effect scales in the same way as a food buff.

  3. Themed armor sets

New armor sets carry Affinity enchantments and are themed around Pokémon types.

  4. Armor stand displays

Themed armor can be shown on armor stands for decoration.
