Cobblemon Outline

Colored outlines appear around Pokémon in the world, letting players distinguish types and categories at a glance.
What it does
The outline appears only on the Pokémon a player is currently targeting, and only within battle range. Shiny Pokémon get a yellow outline, wild Pokémon keep the default yellow, and other trainers' Pokémon as well as Mythical, Legendary and Ultra Beast Pokémon are shown in white. The effect is purely visual and does not change battle mechanics or Pokémon behavior. The mod requires Cobblemon, and it is distributed for Fabric only, with the 2.0 build covering 1.21.1.
Each player installs it; a server may add it but does not have to. Colors and the outline setup work correctly when both sides have the mod. The license is Apache License 2.0, and the project is not open source.

Each Pokémon type can have its own outline color, which makes it easier to read the field at a distance.
JSON color configuration
Outline colors are set in a simple JSON file, using ARGB values, so players can match their own preferences.
Live reload command
The cobblemonoutline reload command applies a changed color file immediately, in game or from the server console.

Use cases
Who it’s for: Players who use Cobblemon on Fabric 1.21.1 and want to see Pokémon types and categories in the world. Server owners can enable the reload command so color changes take effect without a restart.
How it compares
Battle Only Capture is server-side only, under the MIT License and not open source, and is published for 1.21.1 on Fabric alone. Cobblemon Radar also targets 1.21.1 on Fabric, but it is client required with server optional, and its license is All rights reserved, so it is not open source. Cobblemon Outline shares the client-required environment of Cobblemon Radar, with an Apache License 2.0 that is also not open source.
