ClientsideEssentials StationAPI is a client-only Utility mod for Babric and Fabric that fixes several rendering bugs in b1.7.3 and adds sounds and keybindings.

What it does

Players who want cleaner visuals on b1.7.3 can install this client-side fix pack. It corrects a set of graphical faults, including bows drawn incorrectly in the player's hand, items drawn over container text, minecarts flickering while they ride rails, and leg armor showing wrongly in vehicles. Several missing sounds are added, along with extra keybindings for controls the base game lacks.

The mod is built on StationAPI, which is required for it to run, and Mod Menu is optional for its configuration screen. Because it changes only the client, servers do not need it and players can join without installing it. It is incompatible with UniTweaks and FinalBeta, which overlap with its purpose. The code is open source under the MIT License, and the project accepts contributions through its public repository and issue tracker. The mod was first published on 2024-03-20 and last updated on 2025-05-02, and its files are published for b1.7.3 only, with snapshot builds also available.

Key features

  1. Graphical fixes

Bows are rendered correctly in the player's hand, and player skeletons are drawn as intended.

  2. Rail and vehicle rendering

Minecarts stop flickering while riding rails, and leg armor no longer renders incorrectly in vehicles.

  3. Death screen score color

The death screen shows the score in yellow instead of displaying the raw color code.

  4. Added sounds and keybindings

Some sounds missing from the base game are added, and extra keybindings cover controls that were not bound before.
