Chat Mod
Chat Mod gives server administrators control over broadcasts, the server list MOTD and how messages are displayed to players.
What it does
Administrators configure messages in chatmod.yml and the info files, and the mod sends them on a schedule or in response to commands. Timed broadcasts can react to a world clock, such as events, countdowns and times set in the Brussels time zone, including a 10:00 AM and 10:00 PM option. The message system supports the same rich formatting syntax across broadcasts, the MOTD and info files, so one style can be reused everywhere.
Players receive messages in four display types: chat, action bar, title and subtitle. A single line can stay visible for a set number of seconds and is re-sent automatically, which avoids the three-second fade of vanilla. Titles can hold up to four lines per set, cycling through a sequence with a held duration for each. Private messaging is available to players for urgent matters, and Chat Mod adds an inline atlas sprite icon option, player tagging with sound, and persistent chat colours.
Chat Mod needs Fabric API. It runs on the server and is optional on the client, and it is published for Fabric only across 12 release versions, 1.21.5 – 26.3, under All rights reserved, so it is not open source.
