Cats Don't Care (CDC)
by ZipeStudio
With Cats Don't Care installed on a server, cats look for cozy spots to sit and sleep in across the world.
What it does
Cats Don't Care lets tamed cats seek out blocks marked as cozy spots and then sit or sleep on them. Wool carpets, moss carpet and hay blocks are included as default cozy spots, and server owners can extend the list with their own blocks through a datapack. The change works only on the server, so players join without installing anything on their side.
Any block added to that tag is treated as a cozy spot for cats, which makes the mod a simple way to tune where pets settle down on a server.
The mod requires Fabric API and is published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge across 12 release versions, 1.20.1 – 26.2. It is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution No Derivatives 4.0, and its source code and issue tracker are public.
Key features
Cozy spot detection
Tamed cats look for nearby blocks from the cozy spot tag and settle onto them to sit or sleep.
Default cozy spots
Wool carpets, moss carpet and hay blocks are counted as cozy spots out of the box.
Datapack tag
A block tag lets server owners add their own blocks as cozy spots without changing the mod.
Compatibility blocks
Blocks from other mods can join the cozy spot tag, so cats can use decorations added by those mods.
