Bundle Pins
by boyonk
Bundle Pins adds nine coloured pins that players attach to bundles so each bundle can be told apart at a glance.
What it does
Pins give a bundle a visible mark, which helps when a player stores several bundles for different items. Each of the nine pin variants is shown as a coloured bar, and the tooltip lists which pin a bundle carries. A pin is applied in the crafting grid by combining an empty bundle with the matching item, so no separate machine or command is needed.
The pin set is data driven, so a datapack can add more pins beyond the nine included. The effect is purely cosmetic and does not change how bundles store items or interact with other gameplay. Fabric API is required, and Resin Bundle Pins is one of the mods that depend on this one.
Bundle Pins runs on the client and the server, so both need it. It is released under All rights reserved and is not open source. Files are published for Fabric only, across 13 release versions 1.21 – 26.1.2, with 1.4+26.1.2 for 26.1.2 as the latest file.
Key features
Coloured pins for bundles
Nine pin variants mark bundles with a distinct colour, so storage bundles are easier to tell apart.
Coloured bars
Each pin appears as a coloured bar on the bundle, making the difference readable without opening it.
Tooltip pin readout
The item tooltip shows which pin a bundle carries, so the mark can be checked from the inventory.
Crafting recipe
A pin is made by combining an empty bundle with the matching item in a crafting grid.
Data driven pins
Additional pins can be added through a datapack, so the set is not limited to the nine included.

Use cases
Sorting storage
Players who keep several bundles for different materials can mark each one with its own pin.
Who it’s for: Players who carry many bundles and want to sort them visually, and server owners who want a cosmetic marking system that does not change gameplay.
How it compares
Full Bundle Tooltip is client-side only, released under the MIT License and open source, with files for 1.21.11 – 26.3; it only changes what the tooltip shows. Tool Bundles is client and server, open source under the Apache License 2.0 and built for 1.21.1 – 26.1.2, so it adds bundles for tools rather than pins. Big Bundles is client and server and not open source under the MIT License, covering 1.21 – 26.2, and changes bundle capacity instead of marking bundles.
