Better Trial Chambers
Better Trial Chambers expands the trial chambers of vanilla Minecraft into larger dungeon complexes with more puzzles, custom mobs and traps.
What it does
The mod builds on the vanilla trial chambers and borrows ideas from the Dungeons games, where trials focus on combat and puzzle-solving. Generated structures are larger and interconnected, with several puzzle rooms, secret passageways and randomized layouts. Lock mechanisms and environmental hazards test both combat skills and puzzle-solving ability.
Custom mobs populate the chambers. Copper Golems are rusty animated relics that press buttons and activate ancient machinery, oxidizing over time unless waxed. Tuff Golems act as guardians inside the chambers, and they also serve a decorative purpose, with separate animations, sleep states, a bound home point and the ability to carry items. Eldritch Luminaries are enigmatic sorcerers in shimmering purple-blue cloaks, and their miniboss forms wield arcane powers that manipulate reality inside the chambers. They guard rare artifacts tied to the mod's deeper lore, and three pyromancer, storm and shadow summoner versions differ by robe color.
The mod requires Fabric API and is published for Fabric only, across two game versions, 1.21 and 1.21.1, with 0.6.0-alpha+1.21.1 for 1.21.1 as the latest file. A server running it needs every connecting player to have it too. The code is released under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only and is open source.
