Block Breaker & Block Placer
by June
Block Breaker & Block Placer adds two redstone blocks: one breaks the block in front of it into its inventory, the other places items from its inventory.
What it does
Each block is a compact redstone utility activated by a pulse, much like vanilla's Dispenser, Dropper, Breaker and Placer. The Breaker removes the block in front and sends the drops into its inventory, while the Placer sets a random item from its inventory onto the spot in front of it. Builders can chain them into farms, hidden entrances and redstone machines, including automated cobblestone generators and an automatic cocoa bean farm.
The mod keeps survival balance intact. A Breaker respects the harvestability rules of each block, so it cannot take obsidian without a diamond pickaxe or any block that needs a specific tool. Both blocks follow recipe patterns similar to the dropper and dispenser. The mod is released under the MIT License and is open source, with a source code repository, an issue tracker and a wiki. Installation needs Fabric, and the mod is published for Fabric alone. Client and server both need it, so the server and every player install it.

Breaker block
Removes the block in front of it when pulsed and stores the resulting drops in its inventory.
Placer block
Places a random item from its inventory onto the spot in front of it when pulsed.
Harvestability rules
A Breaker follows each block's harvest requirements, so survival tool progression still applies.
