[VRE]Vanilla Redstone Extra
[VRE]Vanilla Redstone Extra adds redstone components such as the Placer, a device that places blocks from its inventory when powered, following the placement rules of vanilla Minecraft.
What it does
The Placer uses redstone signals as its activation input. It holds items in an internal inventory and, like vanilla dispensers and droppers, interacts with the world by placing them. Blocks are set using vanilla placement rules, and directional block states are respected, so a placed block faces the way the vanilla game would place it.
Its components keep the logic and limitations players already know, avoiding machines that feel out of place in vanilla play. Many vanilla blocks are supported, including those with special placement behavior, and the components fit next to existing redstone builds.
Installation needs Fabric API. A server running it needs every connecting player to have it too. Files are published for Fabric only, across four game versions 26.1 – 26.2, under the MIT License, and the source code is public.
Key features
Redstone-powered placer
A placer block is activated by a redstone signal and places the items from its inventory into the world.
Vanilla placement rules
Blocks are placed following the same rules as vanilla, so block behavior feels familiar.
Directional block states
Placed blocks keep their directional states, so stairs, logs and similar blocks orient correctly.
Compatible with existing builds
Components are meant to behave naturally next to existing redstone systems without rebuilding them.

Use cases
Automated building
A placer loaded with blocks can fill a row of tiles or a wall as a redstone circuit runs, without manual placement.
Compact farm layouts
Placing blocks from an inventory lets a machine replant or refill a spot after a redstone signal.
Who it’s for: Redstone builders on Fabric who want automation that follows vanilla logic. Server owners who run survival or creative servers can add it without changing how players interact with the game.
How it compares
Redstone Battery is open source under the MIT License and runs on Fabric for 26.1.2, with client and server as its environment. Redstone Evolved is Fabric-only for 26.2 – 26.3, runs on client and server, and is not open source under All rights reserved. Redstone Expansion is Fabric for 26.1.2 – 26.3 with the same environment and MIT License, but its source is not public.
