Better Player Locator Bar

Better Player Locator Bar shows nearby players as icons on a HUD bar above the XP bar, in place of the default Mojang player indicator.
What it does
The HUD bar places icons for nearby players, and death markers, along the top of the screen. Icons can be restyled, and player names or heads can be displayed next to them. A default style stays close to Mojang's minimal bow-tie indicator, which appears when a player shift-clicks.
Vertical arrows show how far a player sits above or below the viewer's camera, which helps when the height difference matters. Icons fade with distance, and the start, end, alpha and minimum or maximum values can be set in the config. Movement is smoothed with easing so icons do not jump between frames. The mod scans the textures in the sprites and hud folders to detect which icon assets are available.
Installation needs Fabric API. The mod is client required and server optional, so players must install it and a server may add it for extra features. Files target 1.21 – 1.21.3 on Fabric, and the latest build is v1.1.2 for 1.21.3. It is released under the Creative Commons Attribution Non Commercial Share Alike 4.0 license and is not open source.
