Book Tweaks
by r2beeaton
Book Tweaks lets players paste text across several pages, wrap typed words onto the next page and keep their place in the book editing screen.
What it does
Players who write long text in a book can use Book Tweaks to paste several pages at once, let typed words wrap onto the next page, move between pages with the arrow keys, and step back a page with Backspace. Page memory keeps the place a player was editing, so returning to a long book does not start from the beginning.
The mod is a lightweight client-side addition that only changes the book screen. It uses Minecraft's own textures and interface elements, so the screens look like the original game. It is published for Fabric only, for 18 release versions covering 1.20.1 – 26.3, and only the player's client needs it. Book Tweaks is released under All rights reserved, though its source code and issue tracker are publicly linked.
Key features
Multi-page paste
Text copied across several pages can be pasted into a book in one action instead of page by page.
Word wrap to next page
Words typed at the end of a page continue on the next page without the player breaking the line by hand.
Arrow key navigation
The arrow keys move the cursor and switch between pages while a book is open for editing.
Backspace to previous page
Pressing Backspace at the start of a page returns the cursor to the end of the previous one.
Page memory
The mod remembers where the player was editing, so the same spot is reached again when the book is reopened.

Use cases
Writing long books
Players drafting lore, letters or long notes in a book can move through many pages without manual page turning.
Copying text into books
Text saved in another program can be pasted across several pages in one step, which saves time on long entries.
Who it’s for: Players who write or edit books often in single-player or on multiplayer servers, where the mod only needs to be installed on the client.
How it compares
Not Enough Pages is client-side only, open source under the MIT License and published for 1.21 – 26.1, so it covers an older range than Book Tweaks. Auto Complete is also client-side only and open source under the MIT License, with files for 1.19.4 – 1.21.1, and it does not target the 26.x builds. Book Tweaks is the only option here that is not open source.
