Blaze Rod Vendor
by SirQuestalot
Blaze Rod Vendor lets players trade gold ingots with a villager-style vendor for blaze rods, a Nether item that is otherwise hard to collect.
What it does
Blaze rods normally come from blazes in Nether fortresses, and the mod's author notes that some players cannot find a fortress. The mod adds a trade path: each gold ingot traded has a 2% chance of returning one or two blaze rods. A separate trade gives blaze rods in exchange for gold nuggets, with a 1% chance of a blaze rod per 24 gold nuggets.
Because the trades run on the server, the mod is server-side only: players join without installing it, and the server owner is the one who adds it. It requires Fabric API and is released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later, which the mod's license line marks as not open source. Files cover game versions 1.20 – 1.20.4 with 5 release versions, and the latest Fabric file is 1.20-1.20.4 for 1.20.4, dated 2024-03-18. The author notes that the mod was only tested with 1.20.4.
Key features
Gold ingot trade
Trading gold ingots gives a small chance of one or two blaze rods, offering an alternative to fortress hunting.
Gold nugget trade
A second trade converts gold nuggets into blaze rods at a rate of 1% per 24 nuggets.
Server-side trades
The trades are handled on the server, so players need nothing extra installed on their own game.

Use cases
Fortress-free blaze rods
A world without a reachable Nether fortress can still obtain blaze rods through the vendor trades.
Brewing supplies on a server
Server owners who run brewing or blaze powder recipes can offer blaze rods without sending players into the Nether.
Who it’s for: Server owners who want a second source of blaze rods, and players on a server that runs the mod who cannot locate a fortress.
How it compares
