Black Ether adds an Onyx ore, a fuel called ether, and a set of Onyx tools and armor for Fabric 1.19.4 worlds.

What it does

Black Ether generates Ether ore in the lower part of the world, most often between level 8 and the bottom, in veins of about five blocks. Ether burns a little longer than coal, which makes it a fuel option for furnaces. Ether block is a separate placeable block that can be smelted in a blast furnace to produce diamonds, and the blast furnace cooks it about three times faster than a regular furnace.

Onyx Dust is crafted with a stonesaw and currently has no use. The author notes that more content is planned for later versions. Installation covers the server and each player's game. Builds exist for 1.19.3 and 1.19.4, with 3.7.3 for 1.19.4 as the latest file, released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only; the source code and issue tracker are public.

This mod changes how diamonds can be acquired. A new recipe was introduced to allow the player to smelt a block of ether or place a block of ether into the blast furnace to create a diamond. Cooking time in the blast furnace is 3x as fast.
