Better Ping Display Remake
Better Ping Display Remake adds a configurable ping number to the player list, shown next to each player's name in the tab menu.
What it does
The mod draws each connected player's latency as a number in the tab list, so a player can compare connection quality across the server at a glance. A config file named betterpingdisplay.json holds its options, and the config screen opens with the HOME key on the keyboard. The remake adds player head skins in the tab list, custom fonts, a user priority setting and a custom tag entry for BPD+ and NEO+.
Only the client needs the mod, because it changes nothing the server has to run. It works on vanilla servers, so players can join servers that have no mods installed. Fabric API must be installed alongside it on Fabric, and the latest release also requires YACL and Mod Menu. The mod is published for Fabric and NeoForge with files for 26.2 and 26.3, and the code is released under the MIT License without being open source.
Key features
Numeric ping in the player list
Each player's ping is shown as a number in the tab list, updated while the list stays open.
Player head skins in the tab list
Player head skins appear beside each name in the tab menu, making entries easier to tell apart.
Custom fonts
The ping display can use custom fonts, so the numbers can be styled to suit the tab list.
User priority and custom tags
A priority setting controls which players appear first, and a custom tag can be added to the entries.

Use cases
Checking connection quality on a server
A player who plays on a busy server can see the latency of others in the tab list without opening any other screen.
Playing on vanilla servers
Because the server does not need the mod, players can keep the display on while joining any vanilla server.
Who it’s for: Players who want latency numbers in the tab list while playing on multiplayer servers, including vanilla ones. Only players install it; server owners do not need to change anything.
