Better F5

by SSH

Better F5 gives the F5 third-person camera two side views, a zoom control and adjustable framing, for players who want to see what is beside them.

FabricClient-side onlyCreative Commons Attribution Non Commercial 4.01.21.11

What it does

The mod changes the F5 perspective so the camera can sit to the left or right of the player, with zoom and position settings for each side. Players who make screenshots or videos get clearer angles on objects and entities than the default rear view allows. Fabric API is required, and Mod Menu is optional for opening the settings screen from the game's menu list. Better F5 runs on the client alone, and no server needs it. Files exist for 1.21.11 under the Creative Commons Attribution Non Commercial 4.0 license, and the project is not open source.

Key features

  1. Two side views

The camera can be placed to the left or to the right of the player while the F5 view is active.

  2. Zoom control

Distance from the player can be adjusted, so the framing suits close shots and wider scenes.

  3. Adjustable framing

Camera position is customizable, which helps keep objects and entities in view when the player moves.
