Better Advanced Tooltips
by latvian.dev
Better Advanced Tooltips lets players see the tags, component data and fuel values behind an item when they hover over it, through modifier keys and a debug-style display.
What it does
Holding Shift over an item shows its tags, and holding Alt shows the component data the item carries, with custom components highlighted in yellow. Holding Alt and Shift together shows the full component map. Tags are grouped by type: item tags, block and block item tags, entity tags for spawn eggs, fluid tags for buckets and fluid containers, painting tags, enchantment tags on enchanted books, and instrument tags for goat horns and other instruments. Tag entries with the same name are merged onto one line to keep the tooltip readable.
The mod works in the F3+H advanced tooltip mode and adds a tag component to other tooltips, so the information appears wherever items are described. Fuel items can show their fuel values while Shift is held. The mod runs on NeoForge and is published for 1.21.1 and for 26.1 – 26.3, with 2603.1.1-build.13 for 26.3 as the latest file. Both the server and every player need it, and it is released under the MIT License as open source. KubeJS requires it, and the mod was moved out of the KubeJS bundle into a separate dependency.
