Auto Shield

Auto Shield raises the shield automatically whenever one is equipped, so incoming projectiles are blocked without the player holding right-click.
What it does
The mod keeps a shield in the off hand raised as long as one is equipped and the player is in a fight or farming. Players who hold food to eat or who need the right-click for other tasks no longer have to keep the button down to stay protected. Auto Shield is built for Fabric, targets 1.21.8 only, and needs Fabric API. Both client and server need the mod, and the code is open source under the MIT License.
Key features
Automatic blocking
A shield equipped in the off hand is raised on its own, so right-click is not needed to block incoming damage.
Projectile interception
Arrows and other projectiles hitting the player are stopped by the raised shield, which makes it useful against ranged attacks.
Works in any mode
Blocking works in singleplayer, on multiplayer servers and during long sessions of farming or fighting.
Compatibility
Latest build for each game version and loader.
