Armor Points ++
by Cheos
Armor Points ++ changes the armor bar so it can show armor values above the usual 20 points, using colored icons for each band of 20.
What it does
The armor bar normally shows up to ten icons and therefore up to 20 points. This client-side mod adds colored icons so the bar can display up to 240 armor points, with twelve colors counting the vanilla one. Each color marks a range, so a player can read a high armor value at a glance.
The mod also changes the health side of the HUD. Several health bars can be stacked onto one colored bar, absorption is drawn as a border around the health bar, and resistance appears as a border around the armor bar. Armor and health numbers can be displayed beside their bars. Individual toughness and protection overlays are available as well.
Clientside only means that players install it and servers do not need it. Some GUI mods that draw over the same bars may conflict and need a config change or removal. Reaching more than 30 armor points through attribute modifiers also needs AttributeFix, which is optional and listed as a dependency. Files exist for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, and the code is open source under the MIT License.
Key features
Colored armor icons
Each color marks a band of armor points, so values up to 240 fit inside the armor bar.
Armor border and toughness
Resistance is drawn as a border around the armor bar, with a toughness overlay and a separate toughness bar.
Stacked health bars
Multiple health bars are merged onto one colored bar, and absorption shows as a border around health.
Numeric readouts
Armor and health numbers can be displayed beside their bars for exact values.

Use cases
Modded armor stacking
Worlds with heavy armor enchantments, attribute modifiers or LuckyBlocks can push armor past the vanilla display limit, and the colored icons keep those values readable.
Reading health pools
Players with extra health sources can see the total on a single stacked bar instead of several bars.
Who it’s for: Players who want to read high armor and health values in the HUD, and modpack makers combining armor or health mods. Servers do not need the mod.
