Armor Restitched
by SolipIngen
Armor Restitched reworks how armour, its damage handling and its trims behave, with new sets, materials and enchantments for Fabric.
What it does
Armor Restitched extends vanilla armour with new sets, altered damage rules and added armour attributes, and it expands Armor Trims with extra functions. Copper armour reduces lightning damage, and additional mobs can be equipped with armour. New advancements track these changes as players progress.
Early game iron is often scarce, so the mod adds cotton and other wool-like fabric blocks that behave almost identically to wool and carpet. Scutchers, a custom block, turn flax stems, scutch and cotton into ingredients that craft into armour or string, giving players an earlier first armour option.
The mod requires Fabric API and works with Fresh Animations. It is developed alongside two other mods, and a second group of compatible projects is named in its documentation. Client and server both need it, and it is released under the MIT License; the code is open source. Files exist for 1.19.4 – 1.21.1, with the latest file for 1.21.1.

Use cases
Early armour progression
Players can craft armour from fabrics before they have enough iron, so a new world does not depend on a single cave trip.
Mobs in armour
Additional mobs can equip armour, which changes encounters on servers and in adventure maps.
Who it’s for: Players who want a different armour progression and server owners who want mobs to wear armour. Both sides run the mod, so every player on a server installs it.
How it compares
Armour Bundles is a Fabric mod for 1.19 – 26.3 that runs on client and server and is open source under the MIT License. Armor Trim Command is a Fabric mod for 1.21.1 – 1.21.11, client-side only, under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only, and it is not open source. What the author says
This mod was developed in conjunction with two of my other mods: Progressive Archery and SASSOT. They were developed to synergise with each other, so I highly recommend checking out those mods as well! COMPATIBLE WITH FRESH ANIMATIONS + ENTITY MODEL FEATURES for V/Illagers.
