Arknights skills
by westwind
Arknights skills brings profession-based skill trees inspired by the Arknights game to Minecraft, built on the Pufferfish's Skills framework.
What it does
Players pick from several professions, each with its own skill tree, and spend points on talents that improve their character as they play. The profession system follows the structure of the Arknights game, with the trees built on Pufferfish's Skills and tied into the attribute system of Pufferfish's Attributes. Pufferfish's Skills x Origins connects the professions to the Origins mod, so all three dependencies must be installed alongside this mod.
Servers that run it need every player to install it too. Builds are published for Forge only, across three game versions, 1.20.1, 1.20.2 and 1.20.3, with 1.1.1-1.20.1 for 1.20.3 as the latest file. The code is open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only, and the source code and issue tracker are public for bug reports.
Key features
Profession skill trees
Several professions each carry a separate skill tree, so a character develops along one path chosen by the player.
Talent progression
Talents become available as skill points are spent, giving players a steady sequence of upgrades within each tree.
Arknights-based design
The professions and their trees draw on the Arknights game, adapting its class structure to Minecraft.
Pufferfish's Skills integration
Skill trees are built on Pufferfish's Skills, so the progression rules follow that framework.
