Anything But Fish changes the fishing rod so that a catch can be almost any item, creature or entity instead of a fish.

What it does

Reeling in with the rod can return items, creatures and other entities in place of fish, which turns fishing into a random survival activity. Fishing rods gain a stronger pull, and the mod adjusts how catches are rolled. Most settings can be tweaked in an in-game configuration screen, which relies on Yet Another Config Lib (YACL) and Mod Menu, both optional. The mod is published for Fabric and Forge across 24 release versions, 1.17.1 – 26.1.2, and it is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only. Only the server needs the mod to run, while players may add it, so joining players do not have to install anything.
