Anyscale
by nightly
Anyscale lets players change the on-screen size of the chat, player list, scoreboard sidebar, inventories and HUD elements, one fraction at a time.
What it does
Anyscale scales parts of the interface that vanilla fixes at one size. Its options cover the base GUI scale, the chat window, the player list (TAB), the sidebar scoreboard, and inventory screens such as chests, barrels and hoppers. Scale values can be fractional, so a screen can be fitted to a small monitor or a large one without changing the Minecraft setting for everything else.
The HUD part of the mod resizes the status bars that sit around the crosshair, together with the air bubbles and the selected item tooltip, which it also makes scalable. Anyscale has an AppleSkin compatibility option, so food and saturation values stay aligned with the resized food bar. A separate integration with Reese's Sodium Options adds a dedicated Anyscale category to that mod's settings screen, when Sodium and Reese's Sodium Options are both installed.
The mod is built for Fabric and Quilt and runs in the Fabric API and Quilted Fabric API ecosystems. It is client-side only: servers need nothing installed, and players can join a server that does not run it. Builds cover 1.20.1 – 1.21.5 across ten release versions, and snapshot builds are published as well. The code is open source under the Apache License 2.0.
Key features
Scalable chat window
The chat window can be enlarged or shrunk with fractional values, so long messages fit without covering the game view.
Player list and sidebar
The TAB player list and the scoreboard sidebar each have their own scale setting.
Inventory and container scaling
Chests, barrels, hoppers and other inventory screens can be resized independently of the base GUI scale.
Resizable status bars
The bars around the crosshair and the air bubbles can each be scaled to suit the screen.
Selected item tooltip
The name of the selected hotbar item appears as a tooltip whose scale can be changed.

How it compares
Better Gui Scales is client-side only, published for Fabric only, for 1.21.11, and all rights are reserved, so it is not open source. SMALLHUD is client-side only, published for Fabric only, for 1.21.11, and released under the MIT License, which is not open source. Scoreboard Overhaul is client-side only, open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, and published for Fabric and Quilt across 1.20.1 – 26.3, so its loader and version coverage is wider than Anyscale's.
