Anime Characters
by iNax
Anime Characters adds more than 440 characters from anime, manga and video games as animated entities that players can befriend in Minecraft Java Edition.
What it does
Each character is a 3D entity with custom geometry and animations for sitting, sleeping, blinking and combat. The animations are driven by GeckoLib, which the mod requires. Characters have their own behavior patterns, so a companion acts in a way that suits its source series rather than behaving like a generic mob.
Players meet characters while exploring specific biomes, and some can be crafted at a crafting table. A befriended companion can be given weapons, armor and upgrades, and fights alongside the player in dungeons. Companions can be toggled between neutral and peaceful modes, and a dashboard lets players manage the whole party and track where each companion is.
Anime Characters runs on the client and on the server, so both need it. The files target 1.21.1 only, with the latest NeoForge build at 1.0.5, published 2026-09-18. The mod is released under All rights reserved and is not open source. It was first published on 2026-07-08.
