Analog brings handheld radios and broadcast blocks to Simple Voice Chat, letting players talk across distances on tuned channels.

What it does

Players carry handheld radios that can transmit, receive, or do both, and each side can be switched on separately. Radios tune to one of 100 channels by default, and the channel count can be changed in the config. Within a single dimension the range is unlimited, so a transmitter and a receiver far apart still connect as long as they share a channel and dimension.

Block transmitters pick up the voices of nearby players and rebroadcast them, while block receivers can be tuned to a channel for passive listening. Transmitters can also carry sound from nearby jukeboxes, including custom discs added through the AudioPlayer integration. The mod is open source under the MIT License, and its source code and issue tracker are public.

Analog needs Fabric API and Simple Voice Chat, and it bundles Polymer. It is a server-side mod, so players join without installing it, and the server runs it alone. Files are published for Fabric across four release versions, 1.20.1 – 1.21.1, with 1.2.2+1.21 for 1.21.1 as the latest file.
