AfkPlus is a Fabric server mod that lists which players are away from keyboard, with their AFK time, duration and reason.

What it does

AfkPlus tracks players who go idle and shows an AFK player list with the time, duration and reason for each. Formatting is handled through Placeholder API, including its formatting nodes such as bold and colored text, and the mod also exposes AFK information to other mods through Placeholder API. Luck Permissions is supported, and the reason can include a URL.

The mod is a fork based on AfkDisplay, with the author's blessing, and was mostly rewritten in December 2024. It is a multi-version project built on the architecture of Fallen-Breath's Template Mod, so one branch serves the whole version range and ports to new releases go faster. It works in single-player, on integrated servers and over open LAN, and the environment is server-side only, so players join without installing it.

Installation needs Placeholder API and the CoreLib and More Color API libraries, which are required dependencies. Files are published for Fabric only, across 33 release versions 1.17 – 26.3, under the MIT License, which means the mod is open source. Snapshot builds are also published. The source code and issue tracker are public.
