TabsCore

TabsCore is a server-side tab list mod for Fabric. Its header and footer accept multi-line text with gradients, RGB colors and placeholders that refresh live. Player names can carry a formatting style, so a prefix from a permissions plugin such as LuckPerms appears in the list. Players are ordered by a placeholder value such as rank weight, name or ping, using the vanilla list-order system.

Placeholder API support is bundled inside the mod as a jar-in-jar, and placeholders registered by other mods still work. Installing Placeholder API separately can override the bundled version. Players connect with a vanilla client, and the mod also runs in singleplayer and on LAN. Configuration can be edited and applied in-game through hot reload, and a broken config is rejected with an error while the previous one keeps running. Commands require OP level 2 by default, through the tabcore.command.reload, tabcore.command.profile and tabcore.command.version permission nodes, and a permissions mod can change them.

TabsCore is published for Fabric only, with a single version range: 1.21 – 26.2 across 13 release versions. Its latest file is 1.0.0+26.2 for 26.2, released 2026-07-10. Only the server needs it, and players join without installing anything. The license is All rights reserved, so the mod is not open source.
