Additional Placements Fabric
by FirEmerald
Additional Placements lets blocks such as slabs, stairs, carpets, walls and pressure plates be placed in new orientations, including vertical and on ceilings.
What it does
The mod changes how many vanilla and mod-added blocks are positioned when placed. Vertical slabs and stairs become possible, stairs can connect vertically, and carpets, walls and pressure plates can be set against ceilings and walls. Placement logic for slabs and stairs was reworked, and a Vanilla-lite version is included for players who want fewer changes.
Support covers most blocks added by other mods, and a set of new items comes with the placement options. Odd shapes are included, with 108 different possible stair block states and 6 different slab block states, plus test spheres for checking the placements.
Every player and the server need a copy of the mod. It requires Fabric API and Forge Config API Port. Builds cover 1.18.2 – 26.1.2, and the latest file is 3.0.1.1 for 26.1.2. It is open source under the MIT License.
Key features
Vertical slabs and stairs
Slabs and stairs can be placed vertically, so they can stand against a wall or hang from a ceiling.
Vertical stair connections
Stairs connect to neighboring vertical stairs, forming continuous vertical runs.
Wall and ceiling placement
Carpets, walls and pressure plates can be placed on walls and ceilings, not only on the floor.
Extra block states
Stairs gain 108 possible block states and slabs 6, covering odd shapes and placements.
Vanilla-lite option
