Actually Unbreaking
by wutdahack
Actually Unbreaking changes the Unbreaking enchantment so that enchanted tools stop wearing out once the enchantment reaches a configured level.
What it does
Once a tool carries Unbreaking at or above the configured level, it cannot break. By default only the highest Unbreaking level triggers this, and the level threshold can be set in the config. The change is made by a mixin, so it applies to any item that accepts the enchantment, not only tools the author listed. Servers can enable the option that makes Unbreaking incompatible with Mending, which is on by default.
The mod is server-side only: the server needs it, and players join without installing anything. It is published for Fabric and Forge across 26 release versions, 1.12.2 – 1.20.6. Fabric builds require MixinBootstrap, and Cloth Config API and Mod Menu are optional for an in-game configuration screen. The code is released under the MIT License, so it is open source.
Key features
Unbreakable at a set level
Enchanted items become unbreakable once Unbreaking reaches the level set in the config, default 3.
Highest level only option
A config switch limits the effect to the maximum Unbreaking level, and a set level overrides this option.
Mending conflict switch
Unbreaking can be made incompatible with Mending, which the config enables by default.
In-game config screen
With Mod Menu and Cloth Config API installed, the options open in a GUI with an explanation for each.

What the author says
i decided to make a mixin that changes the unbreaking enchantment to make the item actually unbreakable. just apply the unbreaking enchantment to whatever item you can apply it to and it would probably work.
